The iAwards are Australia's ICT industry awards. AIIA runs the iAwards as the Australian member of the Asia-Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA).

In 2009 more companies than ever entered the iAwards and the national winners were annouced at the Gala Dinner on the 27th of May.  A  full list of the most innovative companies in Australia last year is available online. Winners of the national iAwards went on to compeate for the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards (APICTA Awards) held at a gala dinner on 17 December at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne. Over 500 international guests attended. 

Australia enjoyed an outstanding year at the 2009 APICTA Awards, with four companies converting their national iAwards achievements into international recognition and acclaim. Three companies took out top honours in their categories, competing against over 150 of the region's best technology innovators, while a fourth was awarded a highly coveted merit award.
