APICTA - the Asia-Pacific ICT Awards


AIIA is proud to be the Australian representative at APICTA, the Asia-Pacific ICT Awards.


The APICTA network has 16 member-economies and provides an international awards program to showcase innovation, creativity and excellence in ICT in the Asia-Pacific region. APICTA’s member-economies are Australia, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.


Members of APICTA take turns in hosting the annual awards program. APICTA:

  • provides networking and product benchmarking opportunities

  • fosters ICT innovation and creativity

  • promotes economic and trade relations

  • facilitates technology transfer.

 

APICTA nominees gain access to valuable business matching opportunities through exposure to venture capitalists and investors. AIIA’s iAward winners are the exclusive Australian representatives at the prestigious awards program.


APCITA 2009

Australian ICT companies took out four APICTA awards in 2009. Three Australian technology companies last night took out top honours in the 2009 Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards, announced at a gala dinner at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne. A fourth company was honoured with a merit award in front of an audience of 500 ICT delegates from across the Asia Pacific.

The APICTA Awards, contested by over 150 companies from over across 16 different categories, were hosted by the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) to recognise excellence in technology innovation as part of the Asia Pacific Digital Innovation Summit.


APICTA provides many opportunities to showcase Australia’s ICT excellence, reinforces the iAwards as the premier Australian ICT awards event and provides a further opportunity for iAwards winners to showcase their technology globally.

Asia-Pacific Digital Innovation Summit 2009

In December 2009 Australia welcomed members of APICTA, ASOCIO and the Asia Pacific ICT community to Melbourne for the Asia Pacific Digital Innovation Summit (APDIS).

The Summit had more than 30 speakers from 12 economies from across the region addressing key issues identified in the  Asia-Oceania Vision 2020 Report as the key drivers for innovaton, collaboration and trade. Presentations are available on the various topics below as highlighted.
