The state branches serve the day-to-day needs of AIIA’s member companies while remaining committed to the longer-term strategy and policy objectives of AIIA’s Board of Directors.
AIIA state branches provide:
- Business opportunities – assist representatives from AIIA member companies to obtain access to more business leads, more sales and more links with potential business partners and investors.
- Influence – advocate policies and initiatives to state and territory governments and regulatory agencies to create a better business environment for ICT operators.
- Networking – connect like-minded companies to develop and enhance mutual business interests and professional development.
- Information – keep people in AIIA member companies up-to-date on economic and business conditions, ICT marketplaces, technology developments and political policy environments.
- Events – stage forums, seminars and functions for networking, information exchange and commercial dealings.
- Engagement – offer opportunities for people in AIIA member companies to be actively involved in industry issues, special interest groups and activities that influence the direction and development of the Australian ICT industry.
State committees
Each branch has a committee of senior industry leaders drawn from its local membership. AIIA encourages member companies to actively engage their staff in these committees. Most branches also have sub-committees that deal with membership, events and government relations.
